Welcome
to the Hunter Branch Website. We hope you enjoy your visit and will come back soon and stay up-to-date with Branch events. Let us know if you have any upcoming ASH events - just go to the contacts page and email the details.
Saturday 3 March 2012 - Show goes on, Campdraft has been cancelled.
Hunter Branch of the Australian Stock Horse Society is the local representative of a National organisation. We are one of the oldest branches and among the largest in Australia. Hunter Branch covers an area bounded by Hebden to the south, Glenrock to the east, Quirindi to the north and Merriwa to the west. If you are interested in Australian Stock Horses why don’t you come along and join our activities.
We have a proud tradition of running a successful Show and Sale each year and have a youth focus with many youth classes in our Show and a Youth training camp in October each year.
Our show will be run again first weekend in March with an expanded programme. Our sponsors are essential to us and we would like to thank our 2010/2011 Open Challenge sponsor Hunter Irrigation and Water Solutions for their support - click on their logo to view their website. All our 2010 sponsors are listed on our Sponsors page.
Throughout the year we try to run other activities suggested by our active Members. If you would like a say, come along to our Meetings. Activities are open to non-Members who agree to take out Temporary Membership.
We aim to be involved in as many aspects of the local Stock Horse community as possible with our organisers being involved in breaking-in and training, campdrafting, dressage, team penning, polo, polocrosse, showing, stockman’s challenges, stock work and pleasure riding.
